StudioSpace, a matchmaking service for senior marketers looking to hire agencies, has named Kiki Dunlaevy as director of client partnerships.
The marketplace, seventh on our MarTech 50 ranking this year, said Dunlaevy’s 18+ years of experience in advertising, digital and brand agencies in Sydney and New York showcased her ability to bridge the gap between clients and agencies.
She has held client service and new business roles at agencies including DDB, Ogilvy and R/GA.
“Her experience working with brands like Samsung, Westfield, Macquarie and Eli Lilly makes her the perfect point of connection between our clients and our agencies,” said co-founder and MD Robin Scarborough.
“Her ability to bridge the gap between clients and agencies, coupled with her belief that independents are the future, aligns perfectly with our mission to disrupt the current agency-client dynamic.”
StudioSpace announced last month that it had raised more than £1 million of follow-on funding from Fuel Ventures.
Its clients include major brands such as Aviva, Jaguar Land Rover and Gala Games. The firm was founded in January 2022 by Pete Sayburn, Gideon Hyde, Scarborough, Paul Bowman and Phil Kohler.
“I’m thrilled to announce my new role at StudioSpace,” Dunlaevy wrote on LinkedIn.
“After 18+ incredible years in agency land, often in new business roles, I’ve had a front-row seat to the highs and lows of the traditional agency pitch process.
“I’ve seen firsthand how this process can be lengthy, expensive and doesn’t always deliver the best results. It’s clear that the traditional model is broken.
“StudioSpace is redefining how clients engage with creative, marketing and digital agencies by providing access to 300+ independents through one procurement contract.
“As someone who knows the industry inside out, I am super-excited to be part of this disruptive journey, offering an alternative solution that truly addresses the needs of clients and agencies alike.
“I can’t wait to reconnect with old friends and clients to help you get what you need, when you need it.”
