Independent software testing firm Edge Testing Solutions has opened a new base in Manchester city centre.

The expansions aims to create 60 new jobs in the area in the next two years.

The Digital Test Hub (DTH) will service Edge Testing’s Northern clients and continue its UK-wide growth.

The firm, which is part of Eurofins Digital Testing, provides a range of testing services, including usability, accessibility, cyber security test automation as well as a consultancy service.

Now in its 12th year of trading, Edge Testing is headquartered in Belshill in Scotland and has another hub in Birmingham. It has a UK-wide staff of 260.

“We chose Manchester as our third English base and location for our Northern DTH as the city and wider region both have a strong technology focus and reputation,” said managing director Sharon Hamilton.

“There is also plenty of talent accessible from the local universities and colleges. Our flexible testing models have proven a huge success with our customers and have been a key part of our success in the Midlands, London and Scotland.

“The North is a highly-valued area for us and our aim is to increase our existing client base across the region.”

The hub concept was launched in Scotland six years ago and was the first of its kind in the UK. The hubs can be accessed by organisations looking for a remote testing service for applications and back office systems.

Edge Testing will be holding a Manchester Recruitment Open Day event on 20 March 2019 with job seekers in the Manchester area with existing experience in software testing welcome.
