Social Chain Group has announced a series of key appointments in its new London office including a former key figure at the popular Mail Online website.
Matt Breen has been appointed as commercial director at Media Chain, the social media publishing house which is part of Social Chain Group.
Also appointed to positions at Media Chain are Sharlene Hanley as planning director; Paul Stevens as operations director; Michael Hodkinson as sales director; and Adam Mills as head of talent and development.
Breen led the digital sales teams across London and Manchester for Mail Online and launched their branded video offering.
He was previously head of video at Havas, advising clients on shifting traditional media spend to online video channels.
Social Chain Group consists of marketing agency Social Chain and social media publishing house Media Chain.

“Our focus for 2018 is to grow our portfolio of social media brands and continue to lead the way in original content creation.”
Hodkinson (pictured above) was previously director of Spark – Regions, The Telegraph’s in-house creative solutions department.
Hanley (pictured below) has been in the media industry for 11 years and brings with her experience from both media agency and media owner roles.
MediaCom veteran Stevens will focus on developing strategies, campaigns and insights for clients alongside projects to help Social Chain develop an industry leading measurement solution.
