Property website Rightmove has announced that its Finance Director Robyn Perriss intends to leave the firm.

She is expected to step down from the role in the first half of 2020, though a date has yet to be agreed.

Perriss joined Rightmove in 2007 as Financial Controller with responsibility for day to day financial operations, and was appointed company secretary in April 2012.

She and promoted to the board as finance director in April 2013.

Robyn was appointed as a non-executive director and audit committee chair of IT infrastructure provider Softcat in July 2019.

Prior to joining Rightmove, Robyn was Group Financial Controller at the online media business, Auto Trader.

Perriss said that her time at the London-based firm had been a privilege.

“I am immensely proud to have worked in such an outstanding and innovative growth business and alongside so many talented Rightmovers. Rightmove is in a strong financial position with exciting opportunities ahead as it continues to innovate to make home moving easier,” she said.

Peter Brooks Johnson, CEO added: “Robyn has been a huge asset to Rightmove. In the dozen years she has been with Rightmove, firstly as Financial Controller and latterly as Finance Director, Rightmove’s revenue has grown by nearly five times.

“Robyn has been an integral part of this journey, most notably through guiding our finance function as it has developed during a period of strong growth and ensured that our investors remained informed and fully engaged.”

In July the firm acquired Newcastle-based rental marketplace services firm Van Mildert in a deal worth £16m.
