The managing director of travel tech business Rentalcars Connect has hailed 2017 as a “milestone year” for the Manchester-headquartered business.
The company, which is the B2B ground transportation strand of Booking.com, enjoyed a surge in headcount of almost 40 per cent and has grown the number of partners it works with by nearly 30 per cent.
Rentalcars Connect provides bespoke online booking platforms to a client base which includes global airlines, airports and travel companies.
It has also welcomed over 850 new clients during the past year.
“2017 was a milestone year for us, having taken on a number of major new partners, many of them global-facing airlines and travel companies,” said managing director Fraser Ellacott.
“Our growth trajectory reflects sentiments across the industry about ancillaries, with more travel providers exploring exciting revenue streams for an all-encompassing booking experience.”
Looking ahead, Ellacott said the company will continue to expand and further invest in its talent and tech expertise.
“Our focus will remain deeply engaged in developing our car rental platform and A/B testing technology to ensure the highest conversion rates for our partners, whilst continuing to build momentum across new and untapped markets,” he said.
