London RegTech Ruleguard has raised £3.5 million investment from Foresight Group.

The company, which supplies regulatory compliance to financial institutions, was founded in 2013 by John O’Dwyer as a software development consultancy.

In 2015 it began development of a software platform to support the incoming Client Assets Sourcebook (CASS) regulations.

It has since built a blue-chip customer base and become one of the most competitive regulatory compliance platforms in the financial sector.

“We had a lot of interest in our equity raise and held numerous conversations with potential partners, but Foresight was the ideal fit,” said CEO O’Dwyer.

“What stood out was the quality of their people, their skill at relationship building, their obvious integrity and their passion for the technology sector.

“Foresight understood our ambition and unique proposition for our clients better than most and we are excited that this meeting of minds will accelerate our growth as RegTech continues to transform the financial sector.”
