A software as a service firm which helps take the hassle out of moving house has raised £1.5 million in funding.

Bournemouth-based Just Move In counts Strutt & Parker and Carter Jonas among its corporate clients and raised the seed round from a host of angel investors, including the two co-founders of Octopus Investments, Simon Rogerson and Chris Hulatt.

Investment also came from Acast CEO Ross Adams, former ASOS CTO Simon Hamblin and Streetcar and LOVESPACE co-founder Brett Akker.

The proptech company eases the transition into a new property with a full range of services, from setting up the broadband and informing the council of the new address, to recommending removals and storage companies.

As the company develops its technology, more of the mundane administration will become automated, making the moving process even easier.

The human touch, however, remains central to the company’s growth plans.

“Our team genuinely enjoy helping people during this busy period – saving them time, hassle and money in the process,” said co-founder Ross Nichols.

Just Move In partners with ethical businesses and works exclusively with green energy companies, including Octopus and Ecotricity.

Just Move In is proud to be a Certified B Corporation, meaning it is a business that meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability.
