Appointments

Six Degrees has appointed seasoned executive Vince DeLuca as CEO.

Simon Crawley-Trice (pictured), who was promoted to the role in 2021, is leaving the company.

London-based Six Degrees, founded in 2011, has been backed by private equity house Charlesbank since 2015.

“I have moved on from Six Degrees. I’m so proud of my three years as CEO, and I have so much great work to look back on,” Crawley-Trice wrote on LinkedIn.

“It’s incredible to reflect on what we have achieved in this time. We set a clear vision to become the UK’s number one secure, integrated cloud services provider, and repointed our incredible portfolio to align with the needs of businesses today.

“We improved our operating efficiency as a business many times over, and now as I hand over the baton I am excited to see what the amazing Six Degrees team can do.”

“I’m very much looking forward to my next challenge, but I will never forget what we have accomplished together.”

DeLuca joins the firm from digital operating transformation provider Sapphire Systems, which he led as CEO for three-and-a-half years and took through to exit. It was acquired by NTT Data last November.

He has previously held a series of CEO and senior leadership roles within the technology sector, including with Logicalis Group, Infocrossing and Marconi.

“Today, it’s more important than ever that businesses place digital transformation at the heart of their strategies,” said DeLuca.

“Optimised cloud services, intelligence-led security, and agile connectivity between workplaces and workspaces are no longer nice-to-haves – they are essential.

“With our expertise in secure cloud technology and our fantastic connectivity roots, Six Degrees has every right to be the go-to digital transformation partner for UK businesses. I am excited to join the team and make that happen.”

Charlesbank CEO Mike Choe said: “Six Degrees’ unique offering is a game-changer for any business.

“Now, with Vince at the helm with his extensive experience in working with businesses to solve their digital transformation challenges, we believe they are even better placed to help customers unleash their full potential.”
