European open banking platform Tink has appointed Tom Pope to lead its UK office.
The company, headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, is live in 18 markets and serves more than 300 financial institutions across Europe including NatWest, American Express, Paypal, ABN AMRO and BNP Paribas.
Through one API, Tink enables customers to access aggregated financial data, initiate payments, enrich transactions, verify account ownership and build personal finance management tools.
Having joined Tink in June 2021 as head of payments and platforms, Pope will now lead both the London office and the global payments business for the open banking platform.
Prior to Joining Tink, he ran product strategy and new product management for FIS and was head of growth and commercialisation for Worldpay.
Meanwhile Tasha Chouhan has been promoted to UK & IE banking lead. She joined Tink in June 2020 from Starling Bank, where she was head of business development for banking services, having previously been a commercial lead at Fiserv.
“Tink is experiencing huge growth in the UK and more widely across Europe, and we are excited to continue to partner with leading banks, merchants and PSPs to increase innovation in financial services,” said Pope.
