Intoware has appointed John Higgs to its board as its latest non-executive director.

Effective from 1st May 2024, he will bring a wealth of experience and expertise gained from executive sales & marketing roles to the FactoryTech 50 star.

Higgs has a proven track record as a board member, advisor and investor from over 40 years of experience in the IT and software industry, during which he has started, built and scaled high-growth companies and established strategic partnerships globally. 

His core competencies include customer relationship management, strategic planning, business development and operating in senior leadership positions.

Higgs has held prominent positions at – amongst others – Cisco, Riverbed, and most recently Realwear.

Nottingham-based workflow automation firm Intoware’s board also includes chairman Peter Chambers, non-exec director Greg Truman and CFO Lee Maughan.

Higgs has also been involved in charitable work for nearly two decades with the Soi Dog Foundation, whose mission is to improve the welfare of dogs and cats in Asia, ending animal cruelty and creating a society without homeless animals. Last year it became the first organisation in history to surpass one million stray animals neutered and vaccinated.
