Hybrid workplace management system Actual Experience plc has appointed a new CEO.

Iain McCready has been approved for the main leadership role and will take over from interim CEO Steve Bennetts, the Bath company’s CFO.

Actual Experience has built a hybrid workplace management system – based on 10 years of academic research – which allows clients to understand the spread of hybrid, home and office working in their organisation.

It allows them to measure the sentiment generated by working practices through production of human experience scores among staff.

The firm recently won a UK government contract, to be delivered alongside partner Vodafone UK, for its newly launched digital workplace management platform.

Actual Experience’s shares were valued at £270 when it listed exactly five years ago but have since dropped to 78p and a market cap of £1.7m. Remote working during COVID saw a brief boost to £147 at the start of 2021, but that recovery was not maintained.

The firm says McCready has extensive experience in the technology sector, with a particular focus on driving revenue growth in early-stage innovative companies, providing strategic and operational leadership, and developing strong business relationships with both partners and customers.

He most recently served as COO of cybersecurity company Quorum Cyber and prior to that was CEO of Cortexica Vision Systems.

Upon his appointment, Actual Experience notified shareholders that McCready was a director of TelesensKSCL within 12 months of an administrative receiver being appointed back in June 2002, with a compulsory liquidation then following.
