Digital marketing and mCommerce tech firm Mporium has appointed Aleksander Øhrn as chief technology officer.
Øhrn was most recently the co-founder and CTO of Norway-based Cxense, a position that he held for the past seven years. Prior to that, he worked for Microsoft’s Bing web search engine as principal software development engineer.
He was previously the chief scientist for Fast Search & Transfer (FAST), where he worked on search technology and computational linguistics.

“Aleksander brings a wealth of valuable expertise that will facilitate our ambitions of further extending Mporium’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities.
“AI is already a key differentiator for the Mporium business and Aleksander’s appointment will significantly strengthen our capabilities in this regard.”
Based in London and listed on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange, Mporium describes itself as a ‘mobile native’ tech company at the forefront of the smartphone revolution which is transforming mCommerce and digital marketing.
