Appointments

Mobile Tornado has appointed a new CEO two-and-a-half years after its chairman stepped into the role on an interim basis.

Luke Wilkinson will step into the role, having previously held the position of COO.

Wilkinson joined the company in October 2022 as a director, three months before former chief Avi Tooba stepped down to take up an advisory role at the Harrogate-based firm.

After this, chairman Jeremy Fenn became acting CEO, a position which he held until the appointment of Wilkinson as CEO on 12th June.

The push-to-talk over cellular and workforce management solution provider has seen its share price fall from around 1.95p to 0.87p since Tooba’s exit.

At the start of Tooba’s tenure in October 2016, it stood at 4.38p.

The company currently has a market cap of £3.82m, which has almost halved from the £7.4m it held at the time of his departure.

“This appointment follows the outstanding progress Luke has led since joining the business, particularly in spearheading our business development strategy,” said Fenn, who will now revert to the position of executive chairman.

“Under his leadership, the group has widened its global partner network, deepened engagement with key customers, and delivered a significantly expanded commercial pipeline.

“His strategic vision and energy have been instrumental in positioning Mobile Tornado for future growth.”
