Championship football club Middlesbrough has turned to tech to raise awareness of its charity MFC Foundation.
Locally-based pay-per-click agency Mabo will promote the work of the charitable arm through paid search results.
“At MFC Foundation we are proud of the partnerships we hold with local businesses,” said its head Helena Bowman.
“Mabo have been a supporter of our ‘Friends of the Foundation’ scheme for a number of years and we are proud to work with them.
“One of the reasons why we hold Mabo in such high regard is because the team at Mabo show a real passion for the Teesside area and see our partnership as their way to make a difference; and so far the initial PPC results have been fantastic, it’s been a great move for us.
“It is great to have such a pro-active, inspiring company on board with the Foundation, who care about our area. The team at Mabo are great ambassadors for Teesside.”
James Lees, marketing director of Mabo, added: “Working with a brand like MFC Foundation is a real coup for Mabo. They’re a fantastic charity who help change the fortunes of those in need on Teesside.
“We are very proud of our roots. Knowing we are making a difference to these people means this is a real passion project for our agency.”
