A new CFO has been appointed at listed PropTech essensys.

The provider of software and technology to the flexible workspace industry has announced a planned evolution of its senior management team following a £33 million funding round last year.

Alan Pepper, currently chief financial officer and chief operating officer will assume a standalone COO role before the end of July, with Sarah Harvey joining as CFO.

Harvey joins from Virgin Media O2, where she currently holds the role of operations finance director. She was previously a director in PwC’s transaction services, capital markets team, leading all aspects of listed company transactions including acquisitions, disposals, IPOs and fundraising.

“I am very excited by the evolution of our management team, to add capacity to essensys’ growth ambitions,” said Jon Lee, non-executive chairman.

“Alan Pepper has been integral to the growth and success of essensys in the last five years. Alan’s understanding of the complex operational challenges we solve in the flexible workspace industry makes him the best and obvious candidate to lead our mission-critical operations.

“I am delighted to welcome Sarah Harvey to essensys.  She brings a wealth of relevant expertise and is extremely well qualified to oversee the continued financial management of the group.

“This new management structure comes at a significant point in essensys’ growth journey, and ensures that we have the right people in the right roles to further enable us to achieve our goals and deliver the next phase of our ambitious expansion plan.”
