My Property Box, a specialist residential lettings and sales group, has secured follow-on investment from BGF to support the next stage of its expansion.
Founded by Ben Quaintrell in 2012, My Property Box provides lettings, property management and estate agency services across the North of England.
The funding follows BGF’s initial investment in 2024. Since then, My Property Box has completed eight acquisitions, taking the total completed to 18, and has expanded beyond its existing offices in Darlington and Newcastle, establishing a presence in North Yorkshire and Cumbria.
Recent acquisition activity includes the purchase of the residential sales and lettings arm of H&H Land & Estates in September, marking My Property Box’s entry into the North-West and making it one of Cumbria’s largest estate agencies.
The business has recently strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Matt Thompson as COO in a newly created role. He brings more than 20 years’ experience in residential property, including senior leadership roles with London-based Chestertons, Douglas & Gordon and Foxtons.
Most recently at Chestertons, Thompson held executive responsibility for a major residential division spanning 31 offices, as well as residential development and capital markets.
Working alongside CEO Quaintrell, CFO Will Maddock and the wider leadership team, Matt is responsible for group performance, as well as operational and commercial strategy. His remit also includes integrating acquisitions and ensuring the business has the structure and processes in place to support its expansion.
