IT managed services provider Redcentric has appointed Brian Woodford as chief executive.
He’ll take up the role on February 3 and will also join the board of the Harrogate-headquartered business.
Woodford will succeed Peter Brotherton, who is stepping down from the role.
Redcentric was founded in 1997 and listed on Aim in 2013. It employs 500 staff and has more than 1,000 customers.
Brotherton said: “The business is now in a very different place to when I joined in November 2016 with solid foundations now in place for sustainable and profitable growth.
“It has been a privilege to work with so many talented professionals during my eight years at Redcentric and I am tremendously proud of what we achieved and delivered for our clients. My best wishes to Brian and the future success of Redcentric.”
Brotherton was appointed as chief executive in 2019, after a spell as interim CEO. Prior to that he was CFO from 2016-2018. He’s previously worked as CFO of Gametech and CFO of PKR Group.
Woodford will assume the role of CEO after an anticipated two-month transition period.
Upon stepping down as CEO, Brotherton will remain available to the business in a strategic advisory capacity until June.
Woodford said: “I am impressed by the tremendous achievements the company has made under the leadership of Peter Brotherton and the dedicated efforts of Redcentric’s talented team.
“Building on this strong foundation, I look forward to collaborating with everyone across the organisation to continue innovating, expanding our market presence, and delivering value to our clients and shareholders.”
Woodford has previously held senior positions at Capita, Tata Communications, Vodafone and Cable & Wireless.
Redcentric operates from 11 locations, including four in the UK. It also has an offshore operation in Hyderabad. India.
