Tamworth-based digital innovation firm Dev Clever Holdings has announced a commercial partnership with digital payment specialist Yoyo Wallet.

Founded in 2013, Yoyo processes more than 3 million transactions a month, has more than 1.7 million users, and over 750,000 monthly active users.

Dev Clever, which floated on the London Stock Exchange in January and is worth $47.5m, said the new commercial partnership agreement will create a new level of ‘gamification’ solutions through Dev Clever’s Engage platform.

The firm’s clients include Bosch, Britvic, Whitbread and Nestle.

Its Engage platform, a cloud-based ‘gamification engine’, enables brands and retailers to drive higher levels of consumer engagement via redeemable digital voucher and incentives.

“This is an exciting commercial partnership agreement for Dev Clever, significantly extending the reach of Engage to more retail locations for brand customers to incentivise consumers through gamification,” said Dev Clever CEO Chris Jeffries.

“The Yoyo platform not only allows consumers to redeem digital vouchers instantly in thousands of new retail and corporate catering outlets across the UK, Yoyo also provides the payment and loyalty platform for large proportion of the education sector including Colleges and University.”

Yoyo CEO Michael Rolph added: “Yoyo helps retailers deliver experiences that will keep their customers coming back for more, and with Dev Clever’s reputation of creating some of the most immersive gamified experiences out there, it was a no-brainer to put these in front of our 1.7 million users.

“We’re already enabling our retail partners to deliver the fastest way to pay, we’ve created the most convenient way to earn loyalty and we’re making sure customers receive the most rewarding shopping experience out there.

“This strategic partnership with Dev Clever is only going to make our unique offering even stronger.”
