Manchester-based customer acquisition specialist for the legal sector, mmadigital, has rebranded to Blume as part of its ongoing growth strategy

The relaunch of the brand comes at a time of rapid growth for the business on the back of private equity investment from Rockpool Investments in February this year.

The combination of tech, data and people sets the business apart from competitors and has been the driving force behind the rebranding efforts.

Multi-award-winning agency, Studio North, worked with a core team at Blume to devise and execute the brand strategy, led internally by chief marketing officer, Debbie Britton.

Delivered and rolled out in less than six months are a new logo, brand guidelines, internal signage, stationery, and promotional materials. A new modernised and refreshed website www.blumegroup.co.uk has also been designed to be more dynamic and user-friendly.

Britton said: “We feel the new name, as well as the standout brand identity and website demonstrates how the business has evolved and will help Blume scale in the future.

“The new brand is fresher, more modern and echoes who we are – a forward-thinking business, investing in our people and embracing innovation and technology while never losing our personal approach.”

Dez Derry, Blume’s CEO and founder added: “With an established track record and solid management team in place, we are now in a different phase of our business trajectory.

“We realised that we had outgrown the brand mmadigital and to mark this new chapter, we decided to update our business name to reflect who we now are and to help power the company’s next phase of growth.”

“While our name and look have changed, our commitment to our clients’ success will never change. Looking ahead is business as usual with the same expertise and specialist service offered to our law firm clients in the same professional and friendly way they have come to expect.”

Blume’s leadership team includes Dez Derry, CEO and founder, Mark Cappell, chairman, Steve Evans, chief financial officer and Debbie Britton, chief marketing officer. Entrepreneur and chief product officer Erin Short is leading the development of its data and technology product portfolio.

Blume currently employs 100 people at its office in West Didsbury and the business is currently in acquisition talks amid plans to reach £30m turnover by the end of 2023.
