Knight Frank has partnered with a global PropTech company to launch a new smart technology platform in Manchester.
Equiem and Knight Frank, in conjunction with the landlord Mapletree, have unveiled the new location which is designed to revolutionise the way work communities interact with the building and each other.
Located in 3 Hardman Street, Spinningfields, the ‘3 Hardman Life’ portal has introduced a line-up of new amenities and offers to the 350,000 sq ft workplace.
These will include dry cleaning, catering and floristry, free yoga classes, a regular food market, retail pop-ups and taxi booking discounts.
Exclusive events, competitions and partnerships have also been made available through the portal, including monthly community drinks, lunch and learn sessions and a new pizza store.
The property is the first in Manchester to benefit from this technology and marks Equiem’s first launch in the North of England, having entered the UK market just over a year ago.
The firm is already contracted to roll out its platform across more than 5.5 million sq ft of prime commercial space in the UK.
“We already work with Equiem on a number of buildings in London and wanted to bring that high level of customer experience to Manchester,” said Knight Frank partner and head of Property Asset Management in Manchester, Elaine McClean.
“3 Hardman Street is occupied by many high profile corporate firms and we have specifically designed the offer for the building to encourage interaction, be that through special events or classes or meeting for a coffee.
“We believe that great service, building amenity, hospitality and community are key factors in occupiers’ current space requirements.
“The customer and workplace experience is a top priority at Knight Frank and this new property technology is just one of the ways we work closely with landlords and tenants to create places where people and businesses thrive.”
