Fast-growing cloud accounting software firm iplicit has appointed Olivia McMillan as its new COO.
The news comes just a week after the London-based business received a £25m investment from One Peak.
McMillan has 20 years of experience working in SaaS businesses, with her previous role being vice president, operations (UK & Canada) for the Toronto-based legal technology provider Dye & Durham.
iplicit is eyeing its seventh year of triple-digit revenue growth in 2025 after placing 18th on the FT1000 list of Europe’s fastest-growing companies and achieving 40th place in the Deloitte UK Technology Fast 50.
Ed Gairdner, iplicit’s previous COO, has become its chief of staff, focusing on the corporate, legal, governance and people aspects of the organisation’s rapid expansion, while McMillan will drive delivery across the business.
“We recognise that as we double in size this year, we need to continue delighting our customers and exceeding their expectations as we grow. That’s what I’m here to ensure,” said McMillan.
“I’m very excited about iplicit. It has the ‘secret sauce’ that consists of an incredible product, great people and perfect timing in a market that is unserved and massive.”
iplicit’s CEO, Lyndon Stickley, added: “I am really pleased to have secured Olivia onto the leadership team at iplicit.
“Her experience in transforming fast-growth organisations to enable true scale to be achieved is something that is very valuable to us at this stage of our journey.
“Our sights are now firmly set on becoming the most popular accounting software in the UK midmarket; we intend to grow relentlessly for the next decade or more.”
