Manchester-based product intelligence platform Vypr has launched a new tool for brands to gain consumer feedback via video.
VyPops allows users to send out questions and receive video responses from consumers.
Users can target their chosen audience using Vypr’s highly segmented panel and receive editable, high-impact videos to bring research findings to life.
Vypr’s clients include M&S, Leon and Ella’s Kitchen. CEO Kevin Baldwin said: “We are thrilled to unveil VyPops, a game-changer for how consumer views are reflected in how products are developed and sold.
“At Vypr, we strive to provide the most insightful and reliable insights and analysis for our clients, and VyPops is another significant step along this road for us.”
Founded in 2013 by Ben Davies, Vypr has built a cloud-based data validation platform that enables manufacturers and retailers to save time and costs on new product development by providing insight into what customers want to see on the shelves.
Vypr’s software, which uses data and behavioural science, sits on the desktops of product developers, marketers, category teams and retailers throughout the UK.
It captures the opinions of consumers to directly influence what products are launched.
In 2021 Vypr received £2.5m in growth capital investment backed from YFM Equity Partners (YFM) through its British Smaller Companies VCTs.
VyPops gives insight based on the consumer’s tone of voice to their facial expressions, providing at least three times more insight into how they feel compared to a selected or written response.
The new video-based offering provides robust insights recorded by consumers on their mobile phones using Vypr’s app. It provides qualitative feedback in a fast and reliable manner while providing users with dynamic content for presentations and reports.
Hearing the consumer’s voice and watching their facial expressions provide invaluable insights that aren’t captured through traditional surveys. This will give our clients a new dimension of insight as to what consumers think and feel.
