The Institute of Coding has launched an online course catalogue that provides guidance to learners who wish to pursue a digital career.
The IoC is a government-funded national consortium of educators, employers, outreach groups and professionals formed to respond to the UK’s digital skills gap.
The new online catalogue brings together a wide range of digital skills courses that are being offered by the IoC’s 33 partner universities and educations, showcasing an array of innovative course formats that focus on in-demand areas like cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.
It offers innovative formats to appeal to a variety of learners such as short courses, taster and online learning.
Online social learning platform FutureLearn is designing and managing the IoC’s course catalogue.
“The new online catalogue is truly innovative in that it brings together courses from the IoC’s more than 30 educational providers,” said Rachid Houriz, director of the IoC.
“We work with industry and employers to determine what skills they require, and then engage with our partners in higher education to design courses to meet this need.
“The IoC’s mandate is to respond to the UK’s digital skills gap, and this easy-to-use course catalogue will help the next generation of learners develop the skills that they need to be highly employable.”
