GripAble, the UK technology company digitising physical rehabilitation from hospital to home, has announced a partnership with specialist rehabilitation equipment supplier Kinetec to accelerate its expansion into France and a number of international markets.
GripAble has created a digital assessment and training platform supporting individuals undergoing rehabilitation for both neurological and musculoskeletal conditions. With a focus on hand and arm function, rehabilitation programmes are delivered through interactive mobile technologies that have been designed to motivate, track progress, and provide real-time biofeedback.
The GripAble Pro was developed to enable therapists to serve more patients, more efficiently, and deliver better outcomes – face-to-face or remotely – by incorporating technology with manual repetition exercises and treatment. Widely applicable to many caseloads, the Pro, consisting of the company’s leading hand-held sensor, mobile rehab app and tablet, has been developed with a focus on accessibility to therapist, allowing ease of implementation and scalability across patients and different environments.
With adoption of technology being a common challenge faced by therapists across the world, the company emphasises set-up assistance and training for therapists, with ongoing support, which it will continue to deliver through the Kinetec distribution network.
GripAble, sixth on our MedTech 50 ranking, is already used in more than 350 healthcare and rehabilitation locations worldwide. As part of the agreement, Kinetec will be the distributor of the GripAble Pro product throughout France to therapy providers across the continuum of care.
Dr Paul Rinne, CEO and co-founder of GripAble, said: “We are thrilled to be partnering with Kinetec – a specialist distributor of rehabilitation and medical equipment – as we expand into the French market. Our ongoing global expansion is a key part of our strategy and plans for this year, and we are pleased that 18 countries and counting are now using the GripAble system, owing to our significant adoption and strong market fit.
“We are looking forward to continuing to grow our digital platform, allowing more patients and therapists to engage, building out our datasets to further improve care delivery. This new partnership underlines our commitment to making effective, gold-standard assessment and training accessible to patients and therapists across the world, from hospital to home.”
