The founder of Investment Evolution Credit plc has returned as CEO just two months after he retired.
Paul Mathieson (pictured, left) will replace Richard Leaver (right), who has resigned from the company.
Leaver, a long-established corporate consultant, non-executive director and investor, was only named CEO last month having joined the company five months ago to bring AI expertise to the boardroom.
He had replaced Marc Howells – a former senior figure at CitiFinancial and Barclaycard and ex-CEO of Goodbody Health plc, who himself only joined the company five months ago – as CEO.
Mathieson is also a former chairman of IEC, a global FinTech group specialising in online consumer loans.
The executive merry-go-round also sees CFO Bob Mennie replaced by Glendys Aguilera, formerly executive director and general manager at the company.
Neil Patrick will remain as non-executive chairman.
In September 2024 IEC said John Philip de Blocq van Kuffeler, an expert and leader in UK consumer finance, would be appointed to the board as executive chairman at the start of this year, but the appointment does not seem to have materialised.
