FUEL Manchester is an innovative event created to fuel business growth for promising startups and scaleups.
It’s two events in one, beginning with a whistle-stop discussion of some of the big questions facing businesses and finishing with a series of exclusive, invite-only masterclasses for a cohort of exciting startups.
Supported by GM Business Growth Hub, Bruntwood SciTech and the University of Salford Business School, this year’s FUEL Manchester takes place at Circle Square, Oxford Road, Manchester.
Gedman headed up the beauty division at THG, overseeing 10 acquisitions, before joining another THG colleague, former CEO of Myprotein Andy Duckworth, to launch Manchester-based eComplete.
The startup invested £50m investment into eCommerce beauty business CurrentBody before making its second investment into Liverpool-based Give Me Cosmetics.
Liz Scott is the executive director of the Turing Innovation Catalyst Manchester, which has been tasked with turbocharging Greater Manchester’s AI ecosystem. She was awarded the MBE for services to the technology sector.
They’ll join Mehdi Kordi, who was the head of sprint performance for the Netherlands cycling team at the Paris Olympics. He’ll talk about the link between sport and business.
The other confirmed speakers are Dr Richard Whittle, University of Salford’s expert in artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation, Travel Counsellors CEO Steve Byrne; Kids Planet founder and CEO Clare Roberts; ORCHA CEO Liz Ashall-Payne; Blume founder Dez Derry; Businesswise Solutions co-founder Frazer Durris; and Guy Remond, a serial entrepreneur and founder of EHE Ventures.
Details of the names of the experts taking part in the masterclass sessions will be revealed soon.
Created under the TechBlast brand, FUEL Manchester will be chaired by award-winning executive editor Chris Maguire and featured on BusinessCloud.
