Funding platform FundMyPitch has named David Hall, executive chair of private equity group YFM, as their new non-executive director.

FundMyPitch entered the market in 2022 to bridge the gap between investors and start-ups seeking funds to kickstart their operations.

Its innovative digital platform connects founders with investors, streamlining the fundraising process.

David Hall said: “I understand the challenges founders face at every stage of raising capital. The process can be inefficient and distracts them from focusing on their business.

“FundMyPitch offers a seamless, transparent, and efficient solution for both founders and investors, with a standard 5 per cent success fee only if the investment is secured.”

Steven Mooney, founder and CEO of FundMyPitch, said: “We’re excited to welcome David to our team. His extensive experience and valuable connections in the investment community will be instrumental in spreading the word about Fundmypitch.

David Hall joined YFM in 2000 to open its Manchester office. In 2003, he became managing director for the company’s private equity division, and in 2009 all its investment activities were combined under him.

Alongside his role as the chair of the investment committee, he directly supervises YFM’s investment in the software firm, Matillion.
