Internet of Things and digital radio tech firm Frontier has promoted its existing senior independent non-executive director to chairman of the group’s board.
Sir Hossein Yassaie is a recognised figure on the world technology stage with directorships and strategic advisory roles in several innovative technology companies.
As CEO of Imagination Technologies Group plc until 2016, Sir Hossein has a long association with Frontier, having been a co-founder and a director of the group when Imagination Technologies was a shareholder in the business.
Anthony Sethill, CEO of Frontier Smart Technologies, said: “I am very pleased that Sir Hossein has accepted the Board’s invitation to formally take on the role of Chairman.
“Since his return to the board last year, it has been evident that his understanding of our business, our markets and the broader shifts in technology as well as his extensive PLC experience mean that he is uniquely qualified to take on this responsibility.
