‘Digital Transformation Summit’ comes to Manchester

A digital industry conference will make its next stop in Manchester this week.

The ‘Digital Transformation Summit’, which has previously hosted speakers from the Guardian, Ocado, Moonpig, Microsoft, ASOS, Twitter and Barclays will take place at The Bridgewater Hall on September 12th.

The summit will feature heavyweight digital experts including Catherine Fraher, Head of Strategy & Planning and Digital at Age UK, Mark Masterson, Global Technology Lead at Google, and David Buckhurst, the BBC’s Software Engineering Manager who will speak about creating a collaborative culture.

The conference, which is also held in London and Boston, USA, is a chance to hear the challenges and successes of the digital industry’s biggest players.

Organiser of the summit, London-based Roar Media, was founded in 2016. The company has said it is focused on creating an event which includes talks of different lengths and formats

“Nobody wants to sit in a room for an entire day listening to back to back presentations,” the company said.

“We offer differing formats, lengths of talk and spark interesting debate.”

The events company are focusing on the UK’s digital and technology space in an effort to increase collaborative education in the fastest growing industry in Britain.
