Series 23 of Dragons’ Den continues tonight with episode 13.
The episode will see the return of guest judge Jenna Meek alongside regular Dragons Peter Jones, Touker Suleyman, Deborah Meaden and Steven Bartlett.
The pitches in this episode include embroidered pet portraits, flat-pack women’s urinals, specialist fishing equipment and flavoured pickling liquids.
Lucy & Lola
First into the Den will be an entrepreneur who showcases personalised pet portraits embroidered onto clothing.
Lucy & Lola, founded by Lucy Bowes, says every portrait is designed from the customer’s own photo – approved by them with unlimited revisions.
It is then stitched – never printed – in its Cambridge studio by a team of local young women.
The business was founded in 2021 with a single embroidery machine and a rescue dachshund called Lola, who remains the brand’s namesake and ‘least cooperative model’.
Lola will be appearing alongside Lucy in the Den.
PEEQUAL
Next to pitch will be two university friends-turned-founders presenting a flat-pack women’s urinal designed to shorten female toilet queues.
Amber Probyn and Hazel McShane, from Ross-on-Wye in Norfolk, are the founders of PEEQUAL.
Their urinals, designed to be three times faster than traditional portable toilets, were at 35 events this year – including the London Marathon, Reading and Leeds Festivals and Brighton Pride.
Over 1.25 million people have used them since 2022.
Rite Tackle
An inventor and angling enthusiast then hopes to reel in a Dragon with his specialist fishing equipment.
Rite Tackle was founded by British match angler and inventor John Jones and is dedicated to manufacturing innovative, intuitive fishing products that solve the everyday challenges anglers face.
It provides practical bankside innovations for anglers, highlighted by the Rite Weigh scale integrated into a landing net handle and the floating Rite-Count mechanical counter for match limits.
Additional gear includes Squaddies foam attachments for pole stability, Super Rooster and Omni Tube rod rests, and the heavy-duty Premium Tackle Transporter trolley.
Sylt Pickling
The final pitch will be two London founders aiming to meet all your pickling needs.
Sylt Pickling was founded in 2021 by friends and former colleagues Ash Ringhus and Temi Olugbenga. They set out to solve what they deemed to be a huge problem: how long it took to pickle things at home, due to the time it took to boil and cool down the vinegar-based solution.
And with ready-pickled produce heavily restricted, they set out to turn any fruit or veg into delicious homemade pickles.
The flavours they sell include balsamic & basil; juniper & sage; orange, ginger & fennel; apple & cinnamon; dill & mustard; and scotch bonnet & lemon.
