CTI Digital has appointed a London managing director to run operations in the capital.
Steve Gale, a director at the agency, will relocate to London to take up the newly created role.
He will move on a full-time basis, starting next month at a new Shoreditch base.
Gale’s role will be to oversee the strategic operation of the new office and grow the agency across Europe.
A cross-department team including head of strategy and digital transformation Matt Smith, commerce director Ian Cassidy and Drupal director Paul Johnson will support the growth of the London office, with plans to expand to over 20 people within six months.
The 150-strong agency currently works with clients including Merlin, British Council, McGraw Hill, University of West London and Greater London Authority.
“With a fantastic team already in place, we’re looking forward to bringing on board a new generation of CTI Digital talent in London,” said Nick Rhind, CEO at CTI Digital.
“Drawn from our proximity to Shoreditch’s Silicon Roundabout we hope to attract some of the capital’s best and brightest, as well as hiring talent from outside London.”
Gale added: “I believe CTI Digital’s strong technology-agnostic approach and digital transformation thinking will appeal well to an expanded London-focused client base.”
The news follows CTI’s recent acquisition of e-commerce specialists Nublue and its appointment of a new finance director.
