Solana and XRP dropped a significant amount of value in the last 24 hours as the cryptocurrency market again fell.
At the time of writing (7am UK), SOL had dropped 7% to below $200, 14% down in a week.
Ripple’s XRP coin is at $1.05 following a 6% fall and 13% down on its position a week ago.
The market had returned to growth in the previous 24-hour period, but has fallen 5% since Thursday morning. The overall market cap of the almost 14,500 coins stands at $2.49 trillion.
Market leader Bitcoin (BTC) shed 6% to around $56,300. It is 13% down on its seven-day price.
ETH, the world’s second most valuable crypto, dropped 4% to around $4,070, 14% down on last Friday morning.
Polkadot (DOT) dropped below $40 following a 4% fall – which wiped out its gains in the previous 24-hour period – and is down 16% over the last week.
Cardano (ADA) fell 3% to $1.80, 13% down over seven days, while Binance Coin (BNB) dropped 4% to $550 and is 13% down in a week.
Dogecoin and its Ethereum-based spinoff SHIBA INU shed 5% and 9% respectively – they are 9% and 19% down over the course of seven days – with DOGE now sitting above 22c.
