The major cryptocurrency coins rocketed in value in the last 24 hours with Terra (LUNA) and Solana (SOL) leading the way.
SOL jumped a massive 17% to $106 at the time of writing (7am UK), which puts it 18% up in a week.
Terra (LUNA) fared even better, rocketing 19% to $52.65. However its volatility recently is evidenced by the fact that it is the only major coin to be down (18%) over seven days.
Ethereum (ETH), the world’s second most valuable coin, jumped 9% to almost $2,750. ETH is 15% up on its price a week ago.
Market leader Bitcoin (BTC) gained 4% to around $38,350 and remains 6% up in a week.
Polkadot (DOT) added 11% to $19.30 and is 10% up over seven days, while a 7% increase for Avalanche (AVAX) to $69.45 leaves that coin 11% up on its price last Tuesday.
Binance Coin (BNB) is up 3% to $381 and 6% up in a week.
Ripple (XRP) climbed 6% to above 62 cents and is 4% up in a week, while Cardano (ADA) added 3% to $1.05 and is 3% up in a week.
Meme coin Dogecoin (DOGE) moved back above 14c after a 4% gain. It is 6% up on its price a week ago.
The overall market cap of the more than 17,200 coins is at $1.76 trillion, a 5% increase in the last 24 hours.
