The cryptocurrency market dropped more than 4% in the last 24 hours to continue its major dip.

All the major coins were again hit to varying extents, with Solana (SOL) and Terra (LUNA) each down 8%.

At the time of writing (7am UK), SOL is at $137, which leaves it 20% down in a week, while LUNA is moving towards $70, 18% down on last Friday.

Ethereum (ETH) and Avalanche (AVAX) both dropped 7%.

ETH, the world’s second most valuable coin, is around $3,200 – with its seven-day price down 14% – while AVAX is now below $87 and 16% down in a week.

Binance Coin (BNB) suffered a 5% dip to $443 and is 14% down over seven days. Polkadot (DOT) was also down 5% to below $25 and is 8% down on last Friday.

 

Market leader Bitcoin (BTC) only shed 3% and sits around $41,650, which leaves it 12% down over seven days.

Ripple (XRP) dipped 2% to below 75 cents and is 11% down in a week, while Cardano (ADA) is at $1.21 following a less than 1% drop, down 9% in a week.

Meme coin Dogecoin and its Ethereum-based spinoff SHIBA INU both dropped 2%, with DOGE falling towards 15c. They are 11% and 14% down over seven days.

The overall market cap of the more than 16,500 coins is at $1.97 trillion.
