Terra (LUNA) was one of only two major cryptocurrency coins to gain value in the last 24 hours.

The year’s stellar performer, which is closing on Ripple (XRP) in the market cap valuation table, climbed 3% to almost $94 at the time of writing (7am UK). LUNA is 18% higher than its price a week ago.

XRP, which is worth $36.7 billion overall – less than $2bn more than LUNA – dropped slightly from Monday into Tuesday to 76 cents. That leaves it 6% up over seven days.

Market leader Bitcoin (BTC) was the other coin to gain value, climbing 1% to above $38,800. BTC is 2% up in a week.

Avalanche (AVAX) fell 3% to below $67 and is 7% down in a week, while meme coin Dogecoin (DOGE) dropped 2% towards 11c. DOGE is 5% down in a week.

Ethereum (ETH) dropped 1% to around $2,550 yet its seven-day price is up 2%. Polkadot (DOT) also shed 1% to $17.41 and is 6% up on its price last Tuesday morning.

A slight drop for Binance Coin leaves it at $368 with a seven-day price down 3%.

 

Solana (SOL) suffered a slight fall to just above $80, leaving it 3% down over the course of seven days, while Cardano (ADA) fell 1% to below 80c and is more or less where it was a week ago.

The overall market cap of the more than 18,200 coins is at $1.73 trillion, a slight decrease in the last 24 hours.
