Avalanche (AVAX) rocketed 10% in the last 24 hours as the cryptocurrency market enjoyed big gains.
AVAX was closing on $76 at the time of writing (7am UK) and is 4% higher than its price a week ago.
Terra (LUNA) was the only major cryptocurrency coin to lose value in the last 24 hours.
The year’s stellar performer dropped 1% to around $87.50 and is 8% lower than its price a week ago.
Solana (SOL) rose 6% to around $87.50, leaving it 6% up over the course of seven days, while Cardano (ADA) gained 5% to above 84 cents and is 5% up in a week.
Market leader Bitcoin (BTC) climbed 4% to close on $41,000. BTC is 4% up in a week.
Ethereum (ETH) gained 4% to above $2,750 and its seven-day price is up 6%.
Polkadot (DOT) was up 4% for a second consecutive day to pretty much $19 and is 13% up on its price last Thursday morning.
A 4% gain for Binance Coin (BNB) leaves it at $386 with a seven-day price up 2%.
Ripple (XRP) added 3% to 79c, which leaves it 7% up over seven days.
Meme coin Dogecoin (DOGE) also added 3% to close back on 12c and is 1% up in a week.
The overall market cap of the 18,300 coins is at $1.82 trillion, a 3.7% increase in the last 24 hours.
