The secrets of unlocking growth will be discussed at an exclusive event in Manchester on May 25th.

Dealing with imposter syndrome and communicating under pressure are just two of the topics being discussed at the ‘How to PROGRESS in business’ breakfast event.

Seven speakers have already confirmed for the event, which is aimed at business owners and senior managers who are looking to progress.

Garry Partington, CEO of digital product consultancy Apadmi, will talk about the company’s plans to build a 1,500 strong workforce in five years.

Former hostage negotiator Nigel Taberner, MD of Level2Communications, will explain how to communicate like your life depends on it.

The former detective inspector successfully oversaw more than 130 high-risk armed sieges, suicide threats and international negotiations during his police career.

Successful entrepreneur Lorna Davidson has enjoyed a stellar career but will talk about living with imposter syndrome.

In 2011 she sold her business Tactical Solutions to St Ives Group and is now at the helm of RedWigWam, which is turning the world of recruitment on its head.

Richard Stark, director, corporate finance at KPMG, will be speaking about progressing through M&A while Laura Sisson, investment manager at YFM, will share tips on becoming investment-ready.

The stellar speaker line-up will be completed by Isobelle Panton, director of student recruitment and international at UA92 and Chris Townsend, MD of video content expert What Media.

The event has been organised by Proactive Progress, a new monthly business group for ambitious companies in the North West.

The co-founders are Chris Maguire, executive editor of BusinessCloud and TechBlast, and award-winning entrepreneur Paul Woods, managing director of Proactive Despatch.
