The top 100 cryptocurrency coins are a sea of green on Thursday morning after almost all gained in value from Wednesday.

At the time of writing (7am), Dogecoin (DOGE) was the big winner amongst the majors.

The coin created as a crypto parody and based on a meme – and backed for great things by Tesla CEO Elon Musk – was up 16% to more than 43 cents, a continuation of its recent gains. It is up 28% in a week.

Ethereum (ETH) gained 7% to move beyond $2,800 after a small drop in the previous 24-hour period. It is 3% higher than its price seven days ago but remains way below its record price of $4,300, set just last month.

Ripple’s XRP coin, which had gained 20% from Monday to Tuesday morning then fallen back more than 6% into Wednesday, had a quieter time of it in the last 24 hours.

The coin, which set a record valuation of $1.91 a few weeks ago, was up 3% to $1.04 and is 6% up in a week.

Bitcoin (BTC) is closing on $39,000 again with a 5% rise and is slightly up on its price seven days ago.

Litecoin (LTC) was up 5% to $192. The altcoin – billed as a lighter and faster version of Bitcoin – is up 3% in a week.
