Big Data and analytics firm Hello Soda more than doubled its workforce as it expanded internationally in 2016.
The Manchester-based company, which utilises language processing and machine learning techniques and can help customers detect fraud, grew its headcount from 15 to 33.
Hello Soda opened offices in Austin, Texas – headed up by international strategies director Ben Allott – and Bangkok to help it cope with increasing international demand.
It also expanded into India and was among 100 of the world’s top FinTech companies by KPMG and investment firm H2 Ventures.
Hello Soda chief executive James Blake said: “2016 was a real turning point for the business. We’ve gone from being a small yet ambitious team in Manchester, to having a presence in three continents and delivering our services to companies across the globe, within just 12 months.
“As a business, we know how valuable good employees are, which is why we are dedicated to making our company a vibrant and enjoyable place to work.
“I have been very proud to see Hello Soda go from strength-to-strength over the last year and this is testament to the creative, bright and technically skilled team we have established.
“I believe that big data is the future of every business and our aim is to continue to stay one step ahead when it comes to innovation.
“We have some exciting new services on the horizon and I’m looking forward to maintaining and building on this momentum in 2017.”
