A senior BBC executive is the latest confirmed speaker for BusinessCloud’s forthcoming event on EdTech.

Christine Bellamy is the head of product at BBC Education and has been heading up the Corporation’s education digital strategy.

She’s the seventh confirmed speaker for BusinessCloud’s ‘EdTech Explained’ conference, which will take place at UKFast Campus, in Manchester, on 6th September.

Education Secretary Damian Hinds has called on the tech industry to launch an ‘education revolution’ for schools, colleges and universities.

The minister says while some schools are using technology to bring education to life by enabling students to take virtual trips through the Amazon for example, they remain very much in the minority.

BusinessCloud’s ‘EdTech Explained’ conference will hear from some of the disrupters that are shaking up an industry that has long been ripe for disruption.

The other six confirmed speakers are Steam School founder Jade Parkinson-Hill;  Supplywell co-founder Dan Price; Angel Solutions CEO and founder Andy Kent;  Chloe Barrett, founder and CEO of DigiDentistry; Manisha Prabhakar, education manager, Synap; and  Alex Alexandrescu, co-founder of Dicey Tech.
