FC Barcelona to take on derby rivals in eSports
Spanish football giants Barcelona will compete with city rivals Espanyol on popular video game Rocket League.
Barca recently purchased the unsigned Savage! eSports team which competes in the Rocket League Championship Series.
Now Espanyol have confirmed their entry to the competition, which also features fellow Liga outfits Villarreal and Getafe as well as Turkish club Besiktas and Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain.
Rocket League, available across a variety of formats, sees players play games of football in futuristic arenas using rocket-powered cars.
Barca also compete in eFootball.Pro, a Pro Evolution Soccer league launched by developer Konami and real-life Barca and Spain defender Gerard Pique.
