Orange Cyberdefense, the cybersecurity business unit of the Orange Group, has appointed a new UK MD and boosted its UK executive team.
Clive Hamilton joins as MD having spent more than 13 years at NTT Europe, most recently as MD. He has 30 years global ICT experience in network, cloud, datacentre, security and voice services.
New UK Finance Director Mohammed Lateef has extensive experience within financial management roles, having worked as the Head of Finance and Operations for Xenith and as Group Financial Controller of Six Degrees Group.
New UK Product and Marketing Director Stuart Reed has broad experience in the cyber security and technology industry, including with Sony, Symantec and NTT Security.
Orange Cyberdefense employs more than 200 people in the UK. In 2019 Orange acquired the UK’s largest independent cybersecurity provider, SecureData, whose existing Security Operations Centre (SOC) was added to Orange Cyberdefense’s existing nine Cyber SOC’s and four CERTs around the globe.
The acquisition included SecureData’s penetration testing and consulting arm, SensePost.
“COVID-19 has cemented the market direction towards a services led approach to cybersecurity,” said Hamilton.
“With an increasingly dispersed workforce and global economy, customers are demanding to work with a cyber security partner that can build a solution to meet their business models that are increasingly reliant on digitisation.
“With a blended approach of people, process and technology, coupled with the growth of the UK team plus the backing of a multinational organisation, Orange Cyberdefense has the skills, experience and focus to work in partnership with customers to drive their commercial success in a scalable and secure way by placing cybersecurity at the heart of their digital transformation initiatives.”
