A data firm has announced a partnership with Championship club Bolton Wanderers.
The partnership will see the Trotters access proprietary data tools from Analytics FC.
Bolton were promoted to the Championship at the end of last season following a successful play-off run and have recently secured new investment.
The club is now further building out their cutting-edge data and technology capabilities and will work closely with Analytics FC on the integration of the new tools into their robust, existing processes.
Bolton’s head of recruitment Jimmy Dickinson said: “Data analytics can add a huge amount of value to our existing processes and is an important strand in our overall recruitment strategy.
“The Championship is a very competitive league, and this partnership will help us look further and deeper into the talent pool of players and build towards our long-term objectives.”
Bolton are 15th in the table after eight games.
Alex Stewart, CEO of Analytics FC, added: “Analytics FC are delighted to be working with Bolton Wanderers, a club with a lot of history.
“We have had some very exciting conversations with the club already about how to create value by harnessing analytics alongside traditional scouting methods, and we are looking forward to a long and successful partnership.”
