Liverpool FC and 1PointFive have expanded their collaboration with the launch of a new range of club products for supporters.

After launching a commemorative shirt last year to mark the 20th anniversary of the ‘Miracle of Istanbul’ victory over AC Milan, the collaboration between the club and the USA-based carbon capture, utilisation and sequestration company will now include a new Mighty Red teddy alongside a brand-new addition Red Ted.

The carbon footprint of both products will be addressed through direct air capture technology from 1PointFive by removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere equal to the amount generated from manufacturing up to the point of sale.

The launch builds on the companies’ work together to support LFC’s sustainability journey through The Red Way, while also reflecting the continued expansion of LFC’s retail portfolio, offering supporters a wider choice of products across apparel, collectables, gifts and lifestyle ranges.

Lee Dwerryhouse, senior vice-president of merchandising at Liverpool FC, said: “We’re proud to build on our collaboration with 1PointFive through the launch of Mighty Red Teddy and Red Ted, following the success of last year’s pioneering commemorative jersey.

“As our retail offering continues to expand beyond kit, with a growing range of lifestyle products, accessories and collectables, partnerships like this allow us to create products that resonate with fans, strengthen their connection with LFC and support our wider commitment to exploring innovative and more sustainable retail opportunities.”

Anthony Cottone, president and general manager at 1PointFive, added: “We’re proud to work alongside Liverpool FC as they continue to raise the bar for how organisations can empower fans to be part of the sustainability solution.

“Building on last year’s momentum, this collaboration showcases how integrating direct air capture solutions can deliver differentiated, best-selling product offerings while advancing sustainability goals in a measurable and verifiable way.”
