An AI startup co-founded by Steven Bartlett’s former business partner, Oliver Yonchev, has joined the London Stock Exchange.
The LSE welcomed Potentially AI PLC to its market close ceremony following the admission of its ordinary shares to trading on AIM via a £10m reverse takeover.
Potentially’s market capitalisation upon admission was approximately £20m, having raised gross proceeds of approximately £5m through a placing, subscription and WRAP Retail Offer.
Co-founder Yonchev, who previously co-founded Flight Story with Dragons’ Den star Steven Bartlett and served as CEO before exiting in 2024, said: “We’re proud to have raised growth capital from the City of London. By joining AIM, we hope Potentially will become a standard-bearer for tech companies in the UK to reconsider the opportunities a London stock market listing brings.
“Almost a year ago, Potentially was an idea and a bet on the future.
“Today, we began trading on the London Stock Exchange.
“I told our team, partners and investors after the closing ceremony… founders get the privilege of standing at the front. But this moment belongs to our people, and everyone who pushed and believed before there was proof.
“So why does Potentially exist? The models laid the foundation for the next economy. But the infrastructure where people create, protect and earn from AI is yet to be built. That’s our mandate:
“1. Access the best AI models.
“2. Protect what’s yours (your IP).
“3. Monetise the value you create.”
Non-executive director Lord Dominic Johnson CBE said: “London investors deserve access to technology companies on their home exchange. The UK delivers world-leading innovation, and I’m delighted by the steps both the Government and the LSEG have taken to make a London listing more appealing to companies like Potentially.”
Described as a ‘world-first collective AI company’, London-headquartered Potentially is building a unique aggregator infrastructure for the AI economy that will allow users to access more than 1,000 of the world’s most powerful open-source AI models, along with those from Frontier Labs.
Through Potentially, users will be able to find new ways of solving the same problems while increasing the value of their token spend and retaining near-100 per cent control of their data.
Potentially offers people, companies and countries AI sovereignty without the significant cost associated with developing new models.
Potentially’s app is in the final stages of development ahead of launch, with the company planning to introduce further products in 2026, including business solutions and a marketplace expected in the second half of the year.
Before co-founding Flight Story with Bartlett in 2021, Yonchev was managing director of SocialChain.
