BusinessCloud has continued where it left off last year with a record-breaking start to 2026.
A total of 66,800 people visited our website in January – up nearly 25 per cent on the same month last year.
It builds on a record-breaking 2025 for BusinessCloud, which saw a 71 per cent increase in website visitors to 818,000.
January also saw BusinessCloud join forces with the UK’s largest community of board advisors to hold a series of exclusive UK-wide masterclass business events in 2026.
VirtualNonExecs is the UK’s largest community of board advisors, giving corporate partners unparalleled access to the boardrooms of over 50,000 SMEs and the first event will take place in Leeds on February 25th.
BusinessCloud’s editor Jon Symcox said: “2026 marks our 10th anniversary and it’s great to start the year with another record-breaking performance.
“Our breaking news section – BusinessBite – continues to go from strength-to-strength and allows us to post a lot more content throughout the day.”
Among the best read stories of January were Future plc’s £40m acquisition of digital publishing group SheerLuxe Ltd and BLUSH Talent MGMT; THG’s share price drop of 9 per cent; and a profile piece on REFY co-founder Jenna Meek ahead of her debut appearance as a guest Dragon on Dragons’ Den.
Symcox said: “We’ve got some really exciting plans to mark out 10th anniversary, which we’ll be sharing soon.
“Work has already started on planning our third Northern Leaders list and awards evening but we’re also working on something completely new.”
January also saw reporter Patrick Killeen depart BusinessCloud after 14 months for pastures new.
Symcox said: “Patrick leaves with our genuine best wishes and sincere thanks for everything he did over the last 14 months.
“We’re actively looking for a replacement but it’s all about finding the right person. Contact us if that could be you.”
Symcox is the joint owner of Rochdale-based BusinessCloud alongside executive editor Chris Maguire. They were joined last year by executive chairman Frazer Durris.
