The Premier League has partnered with Microsoft on an ‘intelligence engine’ to transform how it engages with fans.

Citing the difficulty in staying abreast of developments across the multitude of platforms available, Microsoft says its technology is being used by the Premier League to give fans experiences that cater to their unique interests.

It says its tools Azure, AI, Copilot, M365, Power Platform and Security are at the centre of the engine which delivers personalised content and streamlines internal processes – billed as ‘the leading media, data and AI platform in global sport’.

It includes an AI-powered assistant offering insights in real time, including stats and personalised videos of the action; instant translations; and a Fantasy Premier League assistant manager.

It draws upon more than 30 seasons of stats, 300,000 articles, 9,000 videos and 380 live matches with real-time data per season.
