Dragons’ Den star Sara Davies, Greggs CEO Roisin Currie and award-winning Moja founder Sophie Milliken will be speaking at an exclusive business event on May 8th.
The trio of business leaders will be headlining BusinessCloud’s North East Northern Leaders event at the Newcastle offices of KPMG.
All three women were included in BusinessCloud’s 2024 Northern Leaders list, which shone a light on 200 people the judges felt are making the biggest positive difference to the North.
The event – entitled ‘An Audience with Sara Davies, Roisin Currie and Sophie Milliken’ – will take place between 5.30-7.30pm at KPMG’s Quayside offices in Newcastle, and will be hosted by BusinessCloud’s executive editor Chris Maguire.
Sara Davies MBE is famous for being a Dragon on Dragons’ Den. She’s also the founder of Crafter’s Companion and the author of ‘The Six-Minute Entrepreneur’.
Earlier this month she announced she’d be leaving the hit BBC show after five series.
Roisin Currie is the CEO of Greggs and has overseen unprecedented growth at the Newcastle-based bakery giant.
Sophie Milliken MBE is the founder of Moja and a published author. She won the Business Champion Award North East at January’s Northern Leaders Awards.
Michael Downes, office senior partner of KPMG’s Newcastle office and head of corporate finance in the North East, said: “We’re delighted to be hosting BusinessCloud’s Northern Leaders event in the North East.
“It’s a stellar panel and promises to be a fantastic evening. There’s a real feel-good factor in the region, both in terms of business and football.
