Wolves get teeth into AR tech with new app

Wolverhampton Wanderers has revealed a new mobile app which utilises cutting-edge augmented reality technology.

The Premier League club’s app allow fans to apply club-themed face filters and has been developed by software company YinzCam, based in Pittsburgh in the US, for both Apple and Android devices.

Other new features to be introduced include interactive man-of-the-match polls, museum audio tours and score predictions.

“We are delighted to have launched the club’s first mobile application,” said Wolves’ head of marketing Russell Jones.

“The app offers fans a convenient way to stay connected with the club, wherever they are in the world.

“We are working in partnership with YinzCam on a 12-month roll-out strategy, which will see exciting innovative features released to enhance our mobile offering every month.”

It will also include team announcements, live team and player statistics, video interviews, highlights, and the ability to purchase Wolves tickets and merchandise.
