Auto Trader, the UK’s largest automotive platform, has appointed two independent non-executive directors to its board.
Megan Quinn and Adam Jay will join the board with effect from 1st July 2025. They will also join the audit, remuneration, corporate responsibility and nomination committees.
The appointments are part of the board’s long-term succession planning, Auto Trader said.
Jeni Mundy, who has come to the end of her third three-year term, and Sigga Sigurdardottir, who will come to the end of her second three-year term in 2025, will not stand for re-election at the 2025 AGM.
Jay brings strong expertise in marketplaces and eCommerce across B2C, C2C and B2B platforms.
He is CEO of Vinted marketplace, the go-to place for all kinds of second-hand items. Prior to that, he held various senior roles within Expedia, including president for Hotels.com and later president for all of Expedia’s retail brands.
He has held a number of previous non-executive board positions including Despegar, the Latin American travel technology company listed on NASDAQ, and Checkatrade.com.

Quinn is a highly experienced product and operational leader with a strong background in US technology companies. She is a non-executive director at Niantic Inc, the geospatial AI and gaming company, B2B recruitment platform Handshake and Pendo.io, a product SaaS business.
She was the lead independent director at NASDAQ-listed marketplace Rover.com until it was taken private in 2024 and is also a current technology advisor to LMVH and Sierra.
She previously sat on HSBC’s technology advisory board for four years and has held several executive positions including COO at Niantic, head of product at Square and product development at Google.
Matt Davies, chair of Auto Trader, said: “We are delighted to welcome Megan and Adam to the Board. Our data and technology underpins the UK automotive industry, and both bring significant experience in the technology sector, digital innovation and marketplace business models.
“We look forward to their contributions as Auto Trader progresses its strategy and continues to deliver on our purpose of driving change together, responsibly.”
